Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee and direct all accounting functions within our organization in Spain. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team of accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting and regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Shared Services Centre Director, you will play a crucial part in the effective management of our financial operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and supervise the monthly and annual accounting close process.
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and strict adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Perform detailed analysis of financial accounts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Keep updated on changes in accounting and tax regulations, ensuring the organization’s compliance with all obligations.
• Lead and inspire a team of accountants, effectively assigning tasks and ensuring operational efficiency.
• Provide guidance and cultivate professional development within the team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide strategic financial information.
• Identify and lead initiatives aimed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes.
• Implement best accounting practices and internal procedures.
• Collaborate on internal and external audits, ensuring thorough preparation and timely resolution of identified issues.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• Proven experience of minimum 8 years in accounting and financial roles, with at least 4 years in a supervisory position.
• In-depth knowledge of both Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficient in SAP FI, with advanced skills in financial analysis tools.
• High proficiency in both Spanish and English.
• Skills: high level of integrity and ethics, accountability, proactivity and collaboration, strong problemsolving skills, effective communication abilities to collaborate across diverse teams, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
