Wilson Softgoods is a newly formed division of Wilson Sporting Goods, the number one brand in the sporting goods industry, with a mission to create beautiful, functional apparel and footwear for athletic men and women. The Merchandising Specialist Softgoods EMEA will be an integral part of the Global Product Apparel and Footwear Team, working to establish and build the Softgoods business in the EMEA region.

Specific tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to the ability to

Global:

• Partner with the Global Merchandising team to define seasonal product strategies that exceed consumer expectations and meet the financial goals for the brand, including line architecture, product flow, launch cadence, and pricing
• Consolidate all EMEA regional- and channel-specific product requests and share back to Global Product
• Ensure all Tennis 360 product launches are synced across apparel, accessories, footwear, and equipment divisions for powerful commercial moments and marketing storytelling

EMEA:

• Create DTC demand plans for select product categories across apparel, accessories, and footwear
• Create product assortments by channel for the EMEA market that are aligned to our product strategy and design vision while optimizing revenue and PGP%/GM%
• Build unique assortments for key Strategic Partners and Agencies in EMEA
• Manage inventory, product flow, and product education for select product categories
• Maintain an accurate EMEA merchandising tools (line plans, pricing files, sell-in tools) for select product classes and communicate updates or changes to cross-functional partners in an ongoing and timely basis, including managing all product attributes for Sales, Marketing and Web teams
• Partner closely with EMEA Demand & Supply team to ensure on-time delivery of product; track inventory and make recommendations for adjustments to inventory flow as needed
• Partner closely with Regional Sales & Marketing Teams to maximize sell-in & sell-out
• Assess the competitive market with respect to trends, marketing & product strategy; react to ensure market leadership
• Create selling decks and seasonal hindsights, analyzing product performance and identifying key styles/categories
• Participate in seasonal buy reviews, highlighting key growth areas and product strategies for your respective categories

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business Economics, or a related discipline with 3-5 years merchandising, buying and/or line management experience with another apparel or footwear brand

• Great product instincts, an understanding of sports, culture, and fashion and how they shape the lifestyle and clothing choices of young athletic men and women
• Analytical thinking – a balance of both qualitative and quantitative skills
• Entrepreneurship – ability to work effectively in a fluid environment and willingness to wear multiple hats, as necessary
• Resourcefulness – self-directed and determined
• Collaboration – demonstrated skill in building cross-functional and cross-cultural/international relationships
• Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply sound business decisions to growing a global business
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in very good English is a must in additional to fluency in local language (verbally and written)
• Willigness and flexibility to travel
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), as well as collaboration/ communications platforms like MS Teams
