Senior Visual Designer

We're looking for a Visual Designer to join our team at Fail Fast.Are you passionate about design and skilled at working in creative and conceptual processes? We're seeking someone who can strike the perfect balance between creative challenge, user needs, business goals, and technological capabilities. In short, a versatile designer who not only executes with excellence but also inspires and elevates the work of the entire team.You will be part of the Fail Fast team, a digital studio with more than 90 multidisciplinary profiles that improve products, services and brands every day through design and communication. You will have access to a growth program based on Power-Up sessions and mentoring, with co-creation spaces and the possibility of training and certifying yourself in multiple specialties. All of this, in offices located in Barcelona, very close to the beach.What will you do?Strategic creative vision: Bring bold ideas with strong conceptual and visual grounding, aligned with each project's strategy. Lead visual quality end-to-end while considering timing, budget, and scope.Graphic conceptualization: Develop and oversee original, innovative graphic concepts—either from scratch or adapting to brand guidelines and client objectives.Design systematization: Create and evolve visual systems to ensure consistency and scalability across all touchpoints.Visual asset creation: Design high-quality visual materials for digital and print, establishing visual foundations and setting the creative tone for each project.Motion & video support: Though this is not a motion design role, you'll create storyboards, video graphics, chyrons, and other assets ready for animation.Must-haves:Experience & background: 8+ years of proven experience as a Visual Designer, with a portfolio demonstrating visual excellence, technical expertise, strategic thinking, and project leadership.Language skills: Fluency in Spanish and good command of English.Team pairing: Ability to work as a creative duo with a content profile (content strategist, copywriter, etc.).Client & team collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to understand needs and deliver outstanding visual solutions.Critical thinking & problem solving: Identify underlying issues, break down complex challenges, propose multiple creative solutions, and assess impact on users and business.Communication & presentation: Articulate and defend design decisions clearly and persuasively for varied audiences, using storytelling and strong visual communication.Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work effectively with product, engineering, marketing, and other stakeholders in a context of mutual respect and shared goals.Time management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.Design tools mastery: Advanced experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).Generative AI: Experience with tools such as Gemini, Midjourney, Runway, or similar.Nice to have:Good command of Portuguese.Previous experience collaborating with Portuguese clients or agencies.Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.What we offer:Hybrid model with 90-50% of remote work, depending on project and client.Enjoying the team Know your colleagues and participate in our scheduled online and in-person activities: PowerUps, All Hands, Team Building...Work-life balance flexibility and intensive working day every Friday of the year and during July and August.Training resources such as certifications in platforms such as Udemy for Business and Goodhabitz and online English and Catalan classes.Flexible Compensation Plan: transportation ticket, restaurant and daycare, medical, dental and life insurance.Referral Program: if you introduce a friend as a potential candidate and they are recruited, you'll win a prizeCommitment to diversity and equal opportunities.
