What are we looking for?We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer, working close to one of our main clients in banking sector. Main tasks and accountabilities will be:Lead the development team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality softwareSet coding standards, best practices, and ensure adherence to themMentor and coach junior developers to enhance their skills and performanceProvide technical guidance and support to the teamDesign, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable softwareAs part of the DevOps model "you build it, you own it and you run it", ensure stable and smooth maintenance of delivered softwareEnsure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applicationsParticipate in complete Software Development Life Cycle, including occasional QA and peer reviewWork to achieve the goals and vision articulated by Product ManagementInnovate within your team, initiative area and contribute within your technical domain. What UST expects from you?Very strong Java programming skills and experience with Spring Boot.Experience working as a Technical LeadDeep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life CycleDeep understanding of design patterns and principles (e.g. SOLID principles)Experience with different testing types: Unit Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing (Selenium or Cucumber), Load Testing (JMeter or Gatling)Experience with distributed architectures like SOA or MSAExperience with event-driven architecturesExperience with REST APIsRelevant experience with AWS services Experience with Gradle or MavenExperience with Enterprise JenkinsExperience working in an Agile fashion (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)Good english level (C1) you will be working with international teams.Desired Skills:Experience working in a highly regulated environment, like bankingExperience with DockerAWS certificationExperience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate)Experience with TDD and BDD Work location100% remote within Spain.
