You are able to troubleshoot and solve hardware issues. As a skilled troubleshooter on a wide range of technical environments and systems, you understand which issues to escalate to the appropriate resolver groups. You create and maintain documentation on hardware technologies you support. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to innovate to best serve your clients but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved. You would also be expected to improve some of the processes and introduce automation with aim towards simplification.You are able to execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects.Role ResponsibilitiesAct as HW support expert liaison to other technical teams & non-technical teams (e.g.: networking, compute, compliance, business operations)Understand internal customer problems and provide technical solution in timely mannerParticipate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware at Oracle data centersSystem board level repair and fault diagnosis to SLAsPlanning and commissioning new rack positionsInvolvement with the design and commissioning of new whitespacesStructured cabling installation is a significant part of this positionKeep up with the latest technologies and apply them appropriatelyAdherence to defined Health & Safety processes at all timesWorking as part of a multi-disciplinary team without frictionAvailable to travel in EMEARequirementsWe're looking for an experienced Data Center Technician, with practice in rack, stack equipment including commissioning of new racks and Strong structured cabling skills on fibre & copper (e.g, term & test)With deep knowledge in Troubleshooting and repair hardware systems and knowledge in networking fundamentals and Linux and other SO administration.We believe you will need to have the following experience, but we also expect you to bring your own unique experiences to the position.
