Senior Azure AI Platform Engineer (Hybrid - Barcelona, Spain) Shape the backbone of a global cloud infrastructure at enterprise scale.Our international client is on the lookout for a Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer with AI knowledge. This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation, passionate team that's reimagining how modern cloud platforms operate across the enterprise.You'll be joining a highly skilled engineering team responsible for building and maintaining one of Europe's most advanced Azure environments that allow internal teams to deploy and operate GenAI workloads efficiently and responsibly - at scale, with automation, security, and performance at its core.If you thrive on solving complex cloud challenges and want to shape the future in the enterprise scale, keep readingWhat you'll doDesign, develop, maintain and optimize robust and scalable IT platforms, with a focus on cloud (mainly Azure) services for data, ML and GenAI workloads, to meet business needs and performance standards.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using terraformSet up and manage Azure OpenAI and Azure Machine Learning environments, including access control, monitoring, and cost governance.Review and improve code written by other team members to ensure best practices and performance standards.Develop and maintain PowerShell for automation, Azure modules and error handling.Ensure compliance with internal standards, security concepts, and operational requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.Keep up to date with Azure platform capabilities and emerging GenAI services, advising on adoption where appropriateWhat we're looking forStrong technical knowledge in Terraform and Azure Services.Solid knowledge of Azure networking, security, and identity services (Entra ID)Experience supporting AI, ML, or data platforms (Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, AKS)Skilled in Bash and PowerShell scripting, with solid understanding of JSON and YAML.Exposure to Python, networking, and security hardening is a plus.Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions for version control and automation.Confident communicator and problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.Comfortable working in complex, multi-stakeholder projects with evolving requirements.Why this opportunity stands outJoin a global-scale engineering team that designs infrastructure used by millions.Hybrid working model with 2/3 days per week in the beautiful office in the centre of Barcelona or Madrid.A culture that values innovation, autonomy, and technical excellence.Excellent compensation and benefits, including performance bonus, pension, learning budget, and international mobility.Work on cloud projects that genuinely impact core business transformation.Relocation is supported if you are based out of Barcelona or Madrid.If you're passionate about large-scale Azure environments, Terraform automation, and data platform engineering, and want to join a world-class team doing it at scale - we'd love to hear from you.
