About the RoleAt Revlon, we are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and visionary Director of Packaging Sustainability & Compliance to lead our global sustainability agenda across packaging innovation.This role is pivotal in shaping the future of beauty through environmentally responsible design, regulatory compliance, and data-driven transformation. You will embed sustainability at every stage of the packaging development lifecycle—from concept to commercialization—while ensuring alignment with Revlon's brand values and global commitments.The role reports to the Global VP, Packaging, and is a core member of the Packaging Leadership Team, with global responsibility across categories and regions.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & VisionDefine and lead Revlon's global packaging sustainability strategy across all categoriesDevelop digital, physical, and data capabilities to support sustainable growth and innovationPosition sustainability as a competitive advantage, delivering against recyclability, CO2 reduction, and plastic minimization targetsInnovation & ExecutionLead packaging transformation initiatives, including material exploration and next-generation formatsIntegrate sustainability into New Product Development (NPD) processes, from ideation workshops through technical validationEnsure packaging strategies remain aligned with global legislation and brand roadmapsCompliance & ImpactOwn and coordinate data collection and on-time reporting across all categories and regionsMonitor, interpret, and translate EU, US, and international packaging regulations into actionable business strategies, including:EU PPWRUS EPR lawsAPAC regional mandatesAnticipate regulatory changes and proactively adapt innovation and compliance roadmapsConduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), recyclability testing, and downgauging assessmentsBuild and deploy digital tools and reporting systems to optimize compliance and packaging taxation strategiesCollaboration & InfluencePartner with cross-functional teams, including R&D, ESG, Procurement, Marketing, and Operations, as well as external stakeholdersInfluence senior leadership and global teams to align on sustainability prioritiesNavigate complex stakeholder environments and drive consensus across regionsSuccess MetricsRegulatory compliance and packaging tax optimizationAchievement of Revlon's sustainability targets in CO2 and plastic reductionDelivery of the packaging innovation roadmap and investment plansAbout You:QualificationsMaster's degree in Engineering (Packaging, Chemical, Mechanical), Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related fieldMinimum 10 years' experience in packaging sustainability within FMCG, cosmetics, or beauty, pharma, food & beverages sectorsSkills & ExperienceDeep knowledge of regulatory and sustainability frameworks (e.g., PPWR, EPR)Strong understanding of packaging technologies and materialsProven experience working in global, matrixed organizations and leading cross-functional initiativesStrong leadership, organizational, and prioritization skills with a detail-oriented approachAbility to influence, align, and drive change at the senior leadership levelFluent English required; additional languages are a plusDemonstrated track record in developing and executing sustainability strategiesWhy RevlonOpportunity to shape the global sustainability future of an iconic beauty brandHigh-impact, strategic leadership role with global visibilityCollaborative, international environment driving innovation and responsibility
