Our Concord EU teams digitize traditional businesses and help launch new digital business models.Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Design System Designer to drive the evolution, adoption, and governance of our client's design system.This is a highly specialized, hands-on role focused on designing for, enhancing, extending, and operationalizing a mature design system - not defining end-to-end product experiences or high-level system architecture.The primary responsibility is to ensure that the design system scales effectively (including emerging patterns such as AI-driven interfaces) while remaining consistent, accessible, and easy to adopt across teams.This role is distinct from a general UX strategist or systems designer. The emphasis is on UI systems craftsmanship, component quality, tokens, and documentation.ResponsibilitiesOwn, maintain, and evolve design system libraries in Figma with a focus on scalability and qualityDesign, refine, and extend UI components, patterns, and variants, including AI-related interaction patternsDefine, maintain, and implement design tokens (Token Studio or similar tools)Partner closely with developers to ensure strong component-to-code alignmentCreate and maintain clear documentation and usage guidelinesEnsure consistent usage of the design system across product teamsEmbed accessibility best practices by defaultContinuously improve clarity, usability, and maintainability of the systemQualificationsRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong background in UI design and enterprise-scale design systemsAdvanced proficiency in Figma (libraries, variants, auto-layout, component architecture)Hands-on experience with design tokens (Token Studio preferred)Deep understanding of component-based UI designExperience supporting multi-platform ecosystems (web, mobile, specialized interfaces)Familiarity with React-based or similar development workflowsExperience working in large, distributed teams with strong governance needsDomain & Workflow UnderstandingStrong hands-on UI design skills beyond traditional UXExperience in complex or regulated environments (clinical, laboratory, scientific, etc.) is a strong advantageAbility to translate real-world physical workflows into precise digital interfacesComfort working at the intersection of physical processes and digital systemsSelf-Direction & CollaborationComfortable in detail-oriented, highly focused rolesAble to enforce standards while remaining pragmaticProactive in identifying gaps and opportunities for system evolutionConfident switching between hands-on work and alignment discussionsStrong ownership mindset and collaborative communication styleAdditional TasksAudit existing products and guide migration to the design systemBenchmark against leading industry design systemsContribute to release notes and internal communicationSupport measurement and reporting on system adoption and qualityAdvocate for design system thinking and UI consistencyIf you believe your profile matches the requirements, please apply with your CV in English.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.By submitting your application, you consent to Concord EU's data privacy policies and the use of your personal data for recruitment purposes.
