Chief Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer or a Master with strong DP Construction vessel experience to join our client's operational hub in Cadiz, Spain. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a technically strong marine professional to take a leading role in the conversion and operational management of DP construction vessels while helping to develop a local supply chain for spare parts and services.Languages:Fluent English & Spanish requiredTravel:Monthly international travel to vessel locationsRequirements:Chief Engineer / Master background with solid experience on DP construction vesselsAbility to assess technical issues and clearly explain them to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong understanding of vessel conversions and offshore construction operationsExisting professional network in the Cadiz region is a strong advantageProactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic, international environmentKey Responsibilities:Oversee the technical performance of vessels under charter, including those undergoing conversion for Offshore Wind constructionAct as the technical interface between the client and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and accurate communicationTroubleshoot and diagnose issues on DP vessels (e.g., power loss events), providing guidance on root causes and solutionsBuild and manage a local supply chain for spare parts and services in CadizProvide technical guidance on vessel capabilities and limitations, including: DP systems, Cranes, Helidecks, Walk-to-Work (W2W) systems, ROVs, Diving systems, Gangways, Compressor units, Other Offshore Wind–related equipmentCollaborate closely with Project Managers and operations teams to ensure all vessel equipment operates to required standardsIf you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your application or reach out for further information.
