Head of Product & Tech - LIBEENThe way the world accesses services has changed — Uber, Glovo, Netflix... everything on-demand.At Libeen, we're doing the same forhomeownership.We're redefining how an entire generation accesses housing withSmartHousing, our seamless model that turns rent into a real path to buying a home.To take this revolution to the next level, we're looking for a Head of Product & Tech who can build, scale, and lead the entire product + technology ecosystem that will power the future of homeownership in Europe.If you're ambitious, product-obsessed, and want to build something millions will use to escape the "rent trap",let's talk.ROLE OBJECTIVEAs Head of Product & Tech, you will define and execute Libeen's entire technology and product strategy.You will build and scale our engineering + product teams, craft an exceptional end-to-end user experience, and ensure SmartHousing becomes a product peopletrust, love, and rely on.You will work directly with the founders and play a key role in scaling Libeen across Spain and Europe.RESPONSIBILITIESProduct LeadershipOwn the full product lifecycle: research → strategy → roadmap → executionDefine a clear product vision and align it with business goals and customer needs.Create a user-friendly, intuitive, lovable product experienceMake SmartHousing feel premium, easy and transparent end-to-endTransform user insights and usage data into product decisionsDefine success metrics and drive adata-informed product process(funnels, KPIs, experimentation).Build a frictionless journey from renting → saving → buyingBuild and lead Product, Design and Data to ship high-impact features, fastUse AI to automate processes and back-officee tasks, improve decisioning, and enhance UXBalance speed with product excellence ("build fast, learn smart")Tech & Engineering LeadershipBuild, lead and mentor Libeen's engineering team from zero → scaleOwn the full technical vision, architecture and long-term roadmapDesign modern, scalable, AI-ready architecture (event-driven, microservices, modular)Implement engineering best practices for speed, security, performance & reliability Oversee DevOps, CI/CD, observability, cloud infrastructure & platform automation – guiding, not executing.Attract, hire and retain top-tier engineering talentEnsure the platform scales as we reach thousands of users and transactionsYou are not expected to code or architect directly, but you should be able to:Challenge technical proposals.Ask the right questions.Prioritize and evaluate trade-offs.Provide strategic direction to senior engineers and tech leads.Cross-Functional LeadershipAlign product & tech strategy with SmartHousing 2030 and company OKRsWork hand-in-hand with Operations, Finance, Marketing & SalesTranslate complex technical concepts into simple business languageFoster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvementDrive prioritization, delivery and execution across the companyREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSProfessional Experience5+ years in Product leadership roles (Head of Product, PM Lead, CPO track) with strong technical background, or 5+ years in senior technical roles (CTO, Tech Lead or similar) with proven product ownership.Experience in startups or scale-ups (proptech/fintech a plus)Proven ability to build and scale product + engineering teamsStrong product discovery mindset and a track record of defining successful roadmaps.You shouldunderstandbut not necessarilyexecutein:Frontend: React, TypescriptBackend: Node.js, microservices, APIsDatabases: SQL, NoSQL, event storesCloud: AWS / GCP, Kubernetes, DockerExperience with CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring and reliabilityComfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environmentsProduct & Tech SkillsAbility to define product vision & turn it into a winning roadmapSkilled in UX, user research, usability & product iterationData-informed decision-making (analytics, experimentation, funnels)Experience building customer-facing digital productsStrong product intuition + excellent engineering judgmentAbility to scale products from MVP → thousands of users.Soft SkillsLeadership, empathy communication and storytelling skillsHigh ownership and a "founder mindset"Bias to action, not endless planningStrategic vision + hands-on executionAbility to inspire and drive teams forwardLanguagesFluent SpanishFluent EnglishNICE TO HAVEExperience using AI/ML in productsData engineering / big data exposureTDD, DDD, Clean ArchitectureExperience scaling platforms from thousands → millionsThought leadership in product or techrollout
