DerbySoft has this opportunity and more with our online travel and hospitality industry software that we support around the world This position is in a new team that will deliver cutting-edge solutions and will be responsible for the technical components for development, optimization, and user testing for our connectivity platform.

What will you do?

DerbySoft is looking for a passionate QA Engineer eager to jump into a fast-paced Marketing Services team and tackle compelling projects. We are a highly technical organization focused on software development, creativity, and on building meaningful features/functionality. This position is in a team that delivers cutting-edge Marketing Services solutions and is responsible for expanding the product's features and functionality. The focus of this role includes designing test plans, developing automated tests for them, managing the team workflow, and maintaining sprint metrics.

• Prepare test plans and design test cases
• Set up the whole test environment independently, including new added components
• Implement test automation using Playwright framework and Python programming language
• Execute other types of tests (security, performance, interface, etc.)
• Assign testing tasks and guide T1 to complete testing work

What do we need?

• B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline, or commensurate industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software QA with a strong understanding and demonstrated use of best QA practices and methodologies.
• Ability to fully understand the business requirements and give feedback from a QA perspective. Can design test cases for multi-system interactions. Can review use cases and give suggestions for improvement.
• Ability to complete automation script development according to testing requirements to ensure effective improvement of test execution efficiency and save human capital.
• Proficiency in Python language
• Be able to analyze the main system problems and their root causes based on test results and help the development team to improve.
• Be able to design performance test plans, complete performance tests and collect basic performance test metrics based on test requirements. Be able to analyze basic performance test metrics and complete performance test reports.

What do you have to bring to the table?

• Excellent verbal and written English required
• Have a full understanding of the product or project system which you are responsible for Familiar with basic computer theory knowledge.
• Master software testing theory and methods and be able to apply them to the work
• Master REST protocol and mocking tools & techniques.
• Proficiency in Python language and experience in one or more testing frameworks (we use Playwright)
• Familiar with common performance testing tools, such as JMeter, Tsung, LoadRunner, etc.
• Execute performance tests according to test requirements and complete test reports
• Accountability and discipline in your daily work
• QA-specific certifications are a plus
