The Italian Games Linguist position is In-house working on a client specific project expected to last 4 months (February-June), with potential for longer commitment. The role requires working at our Keywords office for the full duration of the project. Our office is located at C. de Julián Camarillo, 6A, 3ºB, San Blas-Canillejas, 28037 Madrid, Spain. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team focusing on in-game content for a leading games publisher

The role involves translating and trans-creating content from English into Italian ensuring high-quality localization that resonates with the target audience.

This role requires excellent language skills, creativity, and a strong passion for games.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Translate in-game content from English to Italian to a high-quality standard
  • Be responsible for all linguistic aspects of the translations you are assigned to ensure the best possible quality is achieved
  • Collaborate with other linguists on the project to maintain consistency and quality across translations

Requirements

  • Native level Italian speaker with excellent command of English
  • Passion for the games industry and gaming culture
  • Educational qualification in linguistics, translation, or equivalent field
  • Experience in translation, copywriting, or linguistics is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with CAT tool software, (e.g. Memsource/Phrase, MemoQ) is an advantage
