We work across the entire water cycle, with utilities, local and regional governments, commercial and domestic water users and other partners. From designing and maintaining key water infrastructure to advising on natural catchments and flood defences, we help clients to consider the long-term economic, environmental and social dimensions of their proposals.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to be part of the Civil & Water team in the Madrid office where you will be supporting local and international clients in managing water and water risk and working with multi-disciplinary teams across the globe.
Within The Water Team At Arup, You Will
- Participate in civil and water engineering projects, focusing on the calculation and design of urban developments and water supply and sanitation systems.
- Be involved in the project and team management.
- Prepare budgets and resource estimates.
- Prepare water offers and studies for Spanish public administrations, private clients and international banks.
- Coordinate with counterpart teams in the UK and European offices.

We Are Looking For Someone Proactive And Dynamic That Wants To Further Develop Their Career In The Water Business Area. Ideally, You'll Bring
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Public Works Engineering, or Industrial Engineering (Hydraulics).
- Interest or experience in the design and calculation of urban development and water supply/sanitation systems.
- Interest or Experience in water/hydraulic consulting/advisory projects.
- Experience in water/hydraulic consultancy or advisory projects.
- Very high level of English and Spanish C1–C2.
- Experience working in a BIM environment.
