The Role

As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing Linux-based systems and services, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Additionally, you will coordinate team activities to ensure smooth operations and successful project delivery.

Hybrid work model: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote
Availability: Participation in 24x7 on-call rotations

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux server environments (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and related services.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
• Ensure system patching, updates, and compliance with best practices.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain operational stability.
• Coordinate tasks and priorities within the infrastructure team.
• Act as a point of contact for escalations and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
• Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and changes.
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to support business needs.

Who You Are

Technical and Professional Requirements

• Experience: 4–6 years in Linux systems administration and infrastructure management.
• Expert knowledge of:
  • Linux server administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Shell scripting (bash, ksh)
• Preferred:
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet)
  • Familiarity with virtualization and containerization (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices
• Strong leadership and coordination skills to manage team activities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Languages Required

• Spanish
• Intermediate English
• Catalan

Education

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Preferred: Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Ansible Automation Platform, or ITIL Foundation.
