Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python + React)

Location: Spain (Hybrid) – occasional travel to the UK (1 week per month)

Salary: Up to €80,000 + full benefits

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong technical expertise in Python and React to join a high-impact engineering team building modern, data-driven platforms for the aviation industry.

This is a unique opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborating closely with teams based in London while being based in Spain.

You'll be working on complex systems that power real-world operations at scale, designing and delivering robust, scalable services, and ensuring seamless integration between backend and frontend components.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or similar).

  • Build scalable, responsive web applications using ReactJS and modern JavaScript frameworks.

  • Architect and maintain microservices and event-driven solutions that integrate seamlessly across systems.

  • Implement E2E testing strategies to ensure smooth integration between backend and frontend layers.

  • Work with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases for optimal data management.

  • Design and manage ETL processes and complex data transformations.

  • Deploy and scale applications in the AWS Cloud using services like ECS, API Gateway, and Lambda.

  • Leverage Docker for containerization and orchestration.

  • Ensure security best practices through OAuth2, JWT, and OpenID Connect integrations.

  • Streamline workflows through GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Optimize system performance via caching, database indexing, and load balancing.

What You Bring

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Python and ReactJS.

  • Deep understanding of cloud-based architectures (AWS).

  • Proven experience building and scaling microservices and data pipelines.

  • Solid knowledge of API security and authentication protocols.

  • Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

  • Availability to travel one week per month to the UK (Heathrow area) for team collaboration and alignment.

Compensation & Work Setup

  • Salary: Up to €80,000 gross per year, depending on experience.

  • Contract type: Permanent, full-time.

  • Flexibility: Hybrid model (remote from Spain + one week/month onsite in London).
