Graduate Programme – Chief Risk Office – Madrid – 2026
hace 7 días
Position Overview
About the programme:
The Deutsche Bank Graduate Programme is a year-long comprehensive programme designed to provide you with exposure to a range of fascinating projects and ongoing professional and technical training to develop the skills you need to grow your career. You'll feel supported by a network of peers and mentors and benefit from our global wellbeing programme.
About the division:
Deutsche Bank is exposed to a wide range of risks every day. Credit losses, volatility of market prices, operational failures, infrastructure outages, liquidity shortages, regulatory requirements and legal matters can all have an impact on the bank's capital and reputation. It is the responsibility of the Chief Risk Office to identify, aggregate, manage and mitigate these risks.
The Chief Risk Office does this through rigorous monitoring and measurement processes, framework of principles, close collaboration with the DB's Business divisions and other infrastructure areas. Risk management continually evolves and adapts to keep pace with increasingly complex financial products and ever-changing market dynamics.
To be successful in this environment requires a truly integrated approach of capital and risk management, a model embodied by the Chief Risk Office and the bank. This industry-leading platform is built on consolidated management of capital, funding and liquidity; comprehensive stress testing; and robust underwriting and monitoring standards.
About the role:
During your twelve months as a graduate you will be an integral part of the team, gaining practical experience of key areas within the Chief Risk Office (CRO), benefiting from technical training and one-to-one mentoring. This combination of on and off-the-job learning will equip you with vital skills and enable you to make an important and immediate contribution to the CRO organisation.
Working on our day-to-day business as well as on special projects, you will gain a broad overview of the CRO Division. Your graduate programme will be divided into rotations in different functions within CRO. You will use your analytical skills to prepare analysis to support risk management decisions, observe market developments, identify risks and their drivers, support the calculation of potential risk exposure and setting risk appetites, formulate solutions to mitigate the financial and non-financial risks the bank faces while ensuring an effective communication to senior management.
The specific tasks you will be dealing with will depend on your role within the team, but the role will prepare you for a successful career at Deutsche Bank and the financial industry. You will learn from the best, evolve professionally as well as personally, and build a firm foundation upon which to specialise later.
What we look for:
We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable with excellent communication skills. They have degrees in many different disciplines. Even though good levels of numeracy are important for some roles, you won't necessarily need a formal mathematical or financial background. Our comprehensive training programmes will give you all the technical knowledge you'll need to build a career with us.
To be eligible for the 2026 Graduate Programme you must:
- Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st January 2025 and 31st July 2026.
- Be able to start full time work in July 2026, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements.
- Possess no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience.

Feeling healthy, engaged and well-supported, enables us to do our best work and get the most out of life outside of the office. That's why Deutsche Bank is committed to providing benefits and programmes centred around wellbeing. Benefits & Wellbeing – Deutsche Bank Careers )
