We are looking for a Senior API Business Analyst to join an API Governance function within a Corporate & Investment Banking environment.

In this role, you will provide functional leadership to API initiatives, ensuring that APIs meet defined governance standards throughout their lifecycle. You will participate in API design, validation, and acceptance, acting as a key bridge between business domains (Markets, Corporate Banking, GTB, PPT) and technical teams.

Your contribution will be essential to guarantee high-quality, consistent, and business-aligned APIs across multiple CIB areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional support to API projects across Corporate & Investment Banking.

• Participate in API design, validation, and acceptance processes.

• Ensure APIs comply with established governance and functional standards.

• Translate business needs into clear functional API requirements.

• Perform functional reviews prior to production release.

• Collaborate closely with IT and business stakeholders.

• Support issue resolution and clarify functional specifications.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of API governance practices.

Qualifications

Experience

• 10+ years in Corporate & Investment Banking (Markets, Banking, GTB, PPT).

• Senior Business Analyst or Functional Specialist experience in complex environments.

• Exposure to API initiatives (design, validation, acceptance).

• Intermediate Corporate Banking knowledge.

• Basic experience with API Designer tools.

Skills

• Strong understanding of CIB products and processes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.

• Conflict resolution and stakeholder management.

• Strong time management and teamwork abilities.

• Professional proficiency in English (minimum B2) and Spanish.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of API standards and governance.

• OpenAPI 3 / Swagger.

• Experience with enterprise API documentation practices.
