Professional Services Procurement Category Lead

Role Overview:Fantastic opportunity to join McAfee in an influential role as Professional Services Category lead within the Global Procurement Services (GPS). Where you will be accountable for the global Category Management and Strategic Sourcing activities across the Professional Services category including but not limited to Management Consultancy, Legal, Financial Services and Payment Services.

Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement with responsibility to manage third party supplier spend of c.$60m per annum across c. 150 suppliers. Key activities include deep business partnering to understand key priorities and needs and the engagement and management of our suppliers through designing and delivering category, sourcing and supplier relationship management strategies.

This position is based in Madrid, Spain. You may be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis. We will only consider candidates currently in Spain and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the Role:

• Global Category ownership and execution of Professional Services (PS) category strategies; including data gathering, value generation, and supplier relationship management.
• Drive competition, innovation, supplier performance, and continuous improvement in alignment with corporate and business unit strategy and financial goals.  
• Partner and develop deep relationships with business team(s) to help deliver upon business strategies and priorities.
• Implements a partnership engagement model to influence and support business strategy leveraging market insights and align sourcing and category strategies.
• Serves as a thought partner and actively challenge work to deploy the most comprehensive and creative solutions; remove barriers for team to ensure its ability to execute.
• A leader within the Procurement organization that champions change and the McAfee culture.
• Work with our Strategic vendors to further develop relationships.
• Detailed knowledge of Professional Services cost models whilst also having the ability to develop innovative commercials models that align to the needs of the business.
• Partner across the business to jointly develop cost reduction strategies. Drive the analysis and reporting on spend to identify, build sponsorship for and pursue new savings opportunities

About You:

• 7+  years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
• Proven experience managing Professional Services categories (consulting, legal, HR services, audit, etc.).
• Experience working in a global organization or across regional teams.
• Leadership or people management experience is a plus and ability to support and develop team members.
• Proven ability to challenge current practice, seek alternative options and challenge convention.
• Able to work without supervision and that is adaptable to changes in the work environment including the reassessment of category and business priorities.
• Strong knowledge of Professional Services cost models and pricing mechanisms.
• Experience developing and negotiating innovative commercial models.
• Deep understanding of supplier management, contract negotiation, and market intelligence.
• Familiarity with e-sourcing platforms, procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, SAP), and spend analytics.
• Strong financial acumen: ability to analyze spend data, build business cases, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
