King's College School Alicante is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled KS2 Teacher to join our outstanding primary team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum, fostering strong academic progress while supporting pupils' social, emotional and personal development.

Plan, deliver and assess effective lessons in line with the English National Curriculum for KS2.

Support and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners, including EAL pupils.

Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages independence, confidence and curiosity.

Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to year-group planning and whole-school initiatives.

Promote strong safeguarding practices and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct.

Participate in enrichment activities and broader school life.

Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Successful experience teaching in KS2 with evidence of strong impact on pupil outcomes.

A child-centred, creative approach rooted in Quality First Teaching.

Strong knowledge of KS2 curriculum planning, delivery and assessment.

Experience with Pie Corbett's Talk 4 Writing (desirable but not essential).

Fluency in English with excellent spoken, written and technical communication skills.

The ability to adapt teaching to support pupils whose first language is not English.

A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to team and school life.

A commitment to pastoral care and to supporting the holistic development of every child.

A reflective mindset with enthusiasm for ongoing professional learning.

High professional standards and dedication to safeguarding.
