Summary:

Amadeus is seeking a Principal UX Designer to lead the strategy, vision, and execution of user experiences across our HOS design and product teams. You will play a key role in defining and delivering innovative, scalable solutions for complex B2B and B2C hospitality products in the mid-market segment, balancing visionary thinking with hands-on design execution, crafting intuitive experiences that delight users and drive measurable business impact. You'll also collaborate across disciplines to turn ambitious ideas into elegant, user-centered solutions that help shape the future of travel technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design process for major initiatives, from initial concepts and user flows to wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed specifications;

• Translate complex and ambiguous ideas into clear, compelling user experiences that deliver real value;

• Push creative boundaries and challenge the status quo to drive innovation across products and platforms;

• Champion a user-first approach, fostering a strong design culture focused on empathy, accessibility, and data-driven decision making;

• Plan, conduct, and analyze user research to uncover insights that inform and validate design solutions;

• Apply research findings and behavioral data to continuously refine and elevate user experiences;

• Facilitate design workshops and sprints to align teams around a shared product vision;

• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, and User Researchers to define strategies, roadmaps, and deliverables;

• Collaborate with internal design teams including the Design Factory and HOS Platform to ensure design quality, scalability, and consistency across touchpoints;

• Mentor and guide junior designers, helping them grow their craft and confidence;

• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and design excellence;

• Contribute to and inspire the broader Amadeus UX community by sharing knowledge, best practices, and thought leadership.

About the Ideal Candidate:

• 10+ years of experience designing digital products within large, complex ecosystems, including at least 5 years working in cross-functional environments;

• Proven experience designing and delivering B2B products;

• Strong track record leading product discovery and delivery through iterative design cycles;

• Skilled in collaborating with global, distributed teams;

• Deep UX and research expertise, grounded in a customer-first, data-informed mindset;

• Proficiency in design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Jira, and Miro;

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences;

• Comfortable operating in ambiguity, bringing clarity and alignment to complex challenges.
