Business Continuity Management Analyst

Reporting to the Business Process Risk Team Lead, you will support the process of assessing an organization's preparedness and making recommendations to enhance recovery time after natural disasters or emergencies that could lead to information loss or operational disruptions.

The position is expected to work with internal stakeholders and take a support role in analysing key risks, establish regular dialogue between risk and control owners to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance the business continuity managed system.

• Designing and developing comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans tailored to the organization's needs.
• Coordinating with various departments to ensure business continuity plans are integrated into all facets of the organization.
• Organizing and leading business continuity training and exercises for employees to ensure plan effectiveness and preparedness.
• Establishing clear communication channels and protocols for use during a disruption to maintain information flow.
• Monitoring and reporting on potential risks, incidents, and business continuity plan activations to senior management.
• Regularly reviewing and updating business continuity plans to reflect changing organizational needs and external environments.
• Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Collaborating with IT departments to ensure proper data backup, system recovery, and cybersecurity measures are in place.
• Managing the response to actual disruptions, including activation of the business continuity plan and coordination of recovery efforts.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information/Cyber Security, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
   
• Experience in a business-focused capacity, including:
• Implementation of Business Continuity Management Systems
• Addressing business challenges and driving process improvements
• Organizing and supporting workshops and interviews to analyze business processes, products, and services
• Conducting data analysis to support informed, data-driven strategic decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to understand key functional processes and organizational resources
• Strong planning and problem-solving abilities
• Hands-on experience with initiatives that improve operational processes
• Proficient in translating functional requirements into actionable tasks
• Background in organizing and executing risk assessment and compliance-related projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish

• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, project management tools, and at least one GRC platform.
• Familiarity with frameworks for auditing, monitoring, controlling, and process assessments
• ISO 22301 Lead Implementer certification
