What We're Looking For
We are seeking an experienced
GNSS
Systems Engineer
with strong background in engineering best practices, particularly during conception, specification and design phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply systems engineering methodologies throughout conception, specification and design phases.
- Manage and maintain system requirements using tools such as DOORS or similar.
- Use project tracking tools such as JIRA to follow system and engineering workflows.
• Analyse and understand GNSS system concepts, GNSS signals, performance aspects, and RF interference detection and geolocation. - Perform radiofrequency-related analysis, including link budgets and RF/baseband subsystem evaluation.
- Manage workflows related to engineering instrumentation.
- Use MBSE tools such as Capella or Enterprise Architect for architectural modelling and system design.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation across complex technical systems.
- Ensure compliance with ESA ECSS or related engineering standards.
Requirements
- Experience in systems engineering best practices, especially in early lifecycle phases (conception, specification, design).
- Proficiency with requirements management tools such as DOORS (Advanced level).
- Experience using tracking tools like JIRA.
- Strong understanding of GNSS concepts, signals, performances, and RF interference detection/geolocation (4–5 years).
- Solid knowledge of radiofrequency engineering, including link budgets and RF/baseband subsystems.
- Experience with MBSE tools such as Capella, Enterprise Architect, etc.
- Ability to understand and manage complex technical systems and produce detailed technical documentation.
- Familiarity with ESA ECSS standards or similar.
- High level of English (verbal and written).
Optional / Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience in defence and security environments.
- Experience in global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) domains (Advanced, 4–5 years).
- Experience working in GEO & Location domains (GNSS/WiFi/cellular/RF).
