About the role

We are looking for a
QA Automation Engineer
to join our Technology Department.
We seek talented, motivated individuals eager to contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and high-performance backend services that power our internal and external solutions.

The role will be based at our new, additional, technology site in Alicante, Spain. Backed by over 1,700 technologists worldwide based across our three key technology centres – our primary technology hub in Geneva (Switzerland), supported by Madrid (Spain), and Malmö (Sweden), and powered by one of Europe's largest IoT platforms, we're building something big, and we're just getting started in Alicante.

You will join the IT Mkt & Sales team, which manages the database powering our Mkt Prospects generation platform. You'll be one of only two QAs in the team, giving you high visibility, ownership, and strategic influence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute robust test strategies, both automated and manual.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end and performance tests using tools like Rest Assured and K6.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and tech leads in agile environments.
• Contribute to the definition of product quality and testing strategy.
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and bring a strategic mindset to QA processes.
• Break the platform—exploratory testing is key to uncovering unexpected issues.

Candidate profile

You are a QA Engineer with strong expertise in quality assurance practices and automation frameworks. You understand how quality strategies impact real-world operational processes and product reliability. You have a proactive mindset, contributing to the definition and evolution of QA strategy rather than only executing tests. You thrive in collaborative, multicultural environments, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

Essencial qualifications:

• 3–5 years in QA Automation roles.
• Backend test automation using Rest Assured.
• Experience with Jira, Jenkins, and Bitbucket.
• Strong analytical mindset for designing test strategies.
• End-to-end product vision beyond operational tasks.
• Experience working in agile environments (Scrum).
• Strategic contribution to quality definition.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Highly values qualifications:

• Performance testing with K6.
• Frontend automation using WebDriverIO.
