Position in organization:

Company: Sag Manufacturing.

Department: Supply Chain.

Reporting: Head of Supply Chain.

Team Management: 4 direct reports and 7 indirect reports.

Location: San Agustín de Guadalix (Madrid, Spain).

Education:

* University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

* Master's degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Organization is highly valued.

* Additional training in Negotiations, International Commerce, or Procurement will be highly appreciated.

* ERP proficiency, ideally in modules related to production, procurement, logistics, or customer service.

* Excellent computer skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

* Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level).

* Proven track record of achieving significant cost savings through complex contract negotiations and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.

* Ability to manage complex sourcing projects end-to-end, such as second source qualification and tender processes.

* Experience in CDMO management, vendor management inventory, and Continuous Replenishment Programs.

Previous experience required:

* Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry in the areas of Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement, or other operational roles, with at least 5 years in Strategic Sourcing roles within a dynamic environment.

* Strong understanding of pharmaceutical raw materials, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements, including GMP and regulatory standards.

* Strong knowledge of GMP and GDP regulations and their application to sourcing and procurement processes.

* Demonstrated experience managing CDMO/CMO relationships and finished product sourcing is mandatory.

* Proven track record in supplier negotiation, vendor management, and CDMO coordination.

Roles and responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the Sourcing team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and continuous performance improvement.

* Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Finished Products, APIs and Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, and Indirect Materials, ensuring uninterrupted supply to manufacturing and contract sites.

* Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key strategic suppliers and CDMO partners, monitoring performance against quality, delivery, and cost KPIs.

* Lead complex annual commercial negotiations for all assigned spend categories, including pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs), to deliver measurable cost savings and value.

* Drive cost optimization, process improvement, and supplier performance initiatives within the supply chain.

* Oversee and monitor supplier performance, including production and delivery schedules, shipment timelines, and quality compliance.

* Manage forecasting, ordering, inventory optimization, and write-offs, ensuring stock levels are aligned with business needs.

* Act as the primary escalation point for critical operational supply issues, including shortages, quality deviations, and delayed deliveries, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal production disruption.

* Oversee purchase orders, delivery schedules, and material availability, ensuring accurate ERP data and timely system updates.

* Collaborate with customs and import and export processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and timely clearance of goods.

* Support GMP and GDP audits and inspections, ensuring documentation and processes are compliant and audit-ready.

* Provide leadership and coaching to the team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
