Role Overview
We are seeking a
freelance paralegal / legal support professional
to provide ongoing legal assistance to the company. This role will focus on
drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts
, supporting corporate and commercial legal matters, and acting as a trusted legal operations resource for the team.
The ideal candidate has
strong knowledge of Spanish law
, experience working with
commercial and corporate documentation
, and is comfortable supporting a fast-moving, international, technology-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting & Review
Draft, review, and adapt commercial contracts, including:
- Client and service agreements
- Consultancy and freelance agreements
- NDAs and confidentiality agreements
- Collaboration and partnership agreements
- Data processing and data sharing agreements
- Ensure contracts are aligned with Spanish law and EU regulatory requirements
- Adapt templates to different counterparties and jurisdictions where required
Legal Operations & Support
- Provide ongoing legal support to management on day-to-day legal questions.
- Maintain and update contract templates and standard clauses.
- Track contract status, renewals, and key obligations.
- Support internal processes related to signatures, archiving, and version control
Corporate & Compliance Support
- Assist with corporate documentation for a Spanish SL, including:
- Shareholder-related documentation (where required)
- Board or governance-related materials (supporting role)
- Support compliance with:
- Spanish commercial and corporate law
- GDPR and data protection requirements (contractual perspective)
- Liaise, when necessary, with external legal counsel, notaries, or advisors.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the CEO, operations, finance, and project teams.
- Translate business needs into clear, practical legal documentation.
- Support grant-funded and publicly financed projects with contract-related inputs when required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Law degree from Spain
(Licenciatura / Grado en Derecho) – strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a
paralegal, legal assistant, or junior legal role
, ideally supporting commercial or corporate matters.
- Solid understanding of
Spanish commercial and contract law
.
- Familiarity with
EU legal frameworks
, especially GDPR (contractual level).
- Experience drafting and reviewing contracts in
Spanish and English
.
- Ability to work independently as a freelancer and manage multiple priorities.

- Prior exposure to public-sector or grant-funded project contracts.
- Comfort working in a remote, distributed team.
