About the role

This is a
part-time, hands-on M&A internship
in a B2B telecom context, with exposure to acquisitions across Southern Europe.

You will work directly with the deal lead and be involved in real transactions. This is not a back-office or purely analytical role.

You will be exposed to the full M&A lifecycle: sourcing, analysis, outreach, due diligence, and early integration thinking.

What you'll actually do

Deal sourcing and market work

  • Identify and map potential acquisition targets (SMEs / small-mid cap).
  • Research companies, founders, ownership structures, and local market dynamics.

Outreach and first-level analysis

  • Support and progressively lead outbound M&A outreach.
  • Screen inbound opportunities and form an initial view on strategic fit.
  • Summarize opportunities clearly for internal decision-making.

Financial and strategic analysis

  • Analyze SME financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Build practical financial models (valuation ranges, scenarios, sensitivities).
  • Help prepare internal investment notes and present opportunities.

Transaction support

  • Assist in commercial, financial, and operational due diligence.
  • Support data room management and transaction workflows.

Process and automation

  • Help improve internal M&A workflows and tooling.
  • Work with Excel, Google Sheets, CRM systems, and light automation tools.
  • There is room to contribute if you enjoy system-thinking.

Who we're looking forMust-haves

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with numbers.
  • Solid Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Clear written communication in Spanish and English. Italian or Portuguese are a plus.
  • Curious, proactive, and comfortable asking good questions.
  • Able to work with ambiguity and imperfect information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in finance, economics, engineering, or similar.
  • Interest in M&A, private equity, or entrepreneurship.
  • Exposure to telecom, infrastructure, or B2B markets.
  • Familiarity with CRMs, automation tools, or AI-assisted workflows.
