About the Company

To strengthen our software development team, we are seeking a Software Developer (m/f/d). We offer a varied role within an interdisciplinary project team, characterized by flat hierarchies and swift decision-making processes. About the Role

This position involves taking ownership of implementing new requirements, maintaining, and optimizing our instrument control software for scientific instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of implementing new requirements, maintaining, and optimizing our instrument control software for scientific instruments.
  • Participate throughout the entire product lifecycle, contributing your expertise and ideas to shape the final product.
  • Collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
  • Work with external partners to integrate their device drivers into our software.

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science, or comparable knowledge and skills accompanying an engineering or natural sciences degree.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in .NET C# desktop client development (WPF/MVVM).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Lua is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of multithreading and communication technologies (e.g., RS232, Ethernet).
  • Experience with control software for scientific instruments is a plus.
  • Interest in hardware-related tasks, including testing software on actual instruments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-IT colleagues.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with control software for scientific instruments is a plus.
