Financial Controller

The position will be based and resident in Melilla for a minimum of 6 months yearly, but you can also combine this by being based at our offices in Marbella / Barcelona 6 months yearly.

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Spanish team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Controller to oversee financial operations for our Spanish subsidiaries within the Glitnor Group. This role involves financial reporting, tax management, business controlling, relationship with banks/financial institutions and support to our leadership, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.

What will you be doing?

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and analyse accurate monthly and annual financial reports.
• Collaborate with Country Manager and local leadership to provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Monthly Close – Company Owner:

• Ensure timely and accurate closing processes for the Spanish companies.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review P&L statements.

Tax Returns Management:

• Ensure timely submission and payment of all tax-related returns, including VAT for the Spanish entities.

Year-End Close:

• Prepare annual accounts and manage financial audits, providing necessary documentation to auditors.

Process Automation:

• Oversee the implementation of accounting processes, utilizing automation to enhance efficiency.

ERP systems:

• Carry our accounting in NetSuite, the ERP system for the Glitnor Group and in local accounting software, if needed for local requirements.

Banking and Accounts Payables:

• Contact person and account manager towards banks and involved in liquidity planning / analysis.
• Prepare and approve payments for the Spanish companies, ensuring accuracy.

Ad Hoc Tasks:

• Assist Country Manager , leadership and the Glitnor Group Financial Management with additional tasks to improve the finance function as needed.

Who are you?

• Proven experience in financial controlling or similar roles for at least 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and Spanish tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in financial software (knowledge from working in NetSuite is a plus), and Microsoft Excel.
• Native level Spanish speaker and fluent in English.
• Preferable having working experience from the Gaming industry.
• Education : Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ADE), Economía o Finanzas y Contabilidad.
