BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D in computer and computational science with over **** staff from 60 countries.Context And MissionThe Memory Systems group in the Computer Science Department at BSC is offering a full-time research engineer position for a project that explores advanced memory systems for AI applications.

The project aims to reduce the memory wall by designing memory systems tailored to AI models, exploring systems based on HBM, DDR, GDDR devices, and Compute Express Link (CXL) memory expanders, and considering near-data processing architectures.

The project is conducted in close collaboration with a major memory manufacturer; most development will take place on high-end hardware products and industrial prototypes.
