Data Protection Lawyer

VHIR offers a vacant position for a lawyer with experience in Data Protection, as well as experience in various areas of the Healthcare environment to develop tasks within the Legal Unit. This unit ensures the regulatory compliance in all institutional acts, especially in biomedical research projects and IP Among the goals of this Units are: to ensure the regulatory compliance in all institutional acts, especially in IP and biomedical research projects; give advice to the scientific community at VHIR of the continuous legal developments that affect biomedical research and, therefore, the transfer of results to society; and to the different services and units at VHIR.

Education and qualifications:
Required:

• Law Degree

Desired:

• Master's Degree
• Specialization in data protection
• Specialization in Administrative law.
• Specialization in Compliance.

Experience and knowledge:
Required:

• At least 1 year as a lawyer with experience in data protection.
• Fluent in Catalan, Spanish and English, both written and oral.
• Ability to work in teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with vocation of service and customer orientation.

Desired:

• Specific knowledge in pharmaceutical and healthcare law and/or previous experience in the field of biomedical research will be positively valued.

Main responsibilities and duties:

• Participate in the process of drafting, negotiation and reviewing data protection clauses and Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Prepare Data Protection Impact Assessments.
• Give support and advice to Researchers in the application of current data protection regulations.

Labour conditions:

• Full-time position
• Starting date: immediate
• Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
• Contract: Permanent
