Field Application Specialist – Urinalysis

We are looking for a Field Application Specialist with expertise in Urinalysis and Hematology to provide high-level scientific and technical support to both customers and the sales organization.

The role is key to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales process by delivering expert demonstrations, training, and consultancy in laboratory diagnostics, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific & Technical Support

• Provide technical and clinical support to laboratory users and customers.
• Act as the product expert for urinalysis and hematology solutions.
• Support the sales process by advising users throughout the Order Generation Process (OGP).
• Communicate effectively with medical, scientific, and technical laboratory staff.

Training & Demonstrations

• Deliver scientific training to medical and laboratory professionals.
• Perform instrument and workflow demonstrations, including complex sales projects.
• Train users across all shifts and implement train-the-trainer concepts.
• Promote laboratory technology knowledge, including Total Lab Automation and workstation solutions.

Sales Support & Business Development

• Support the sales team to maximize selling time and effectiveness.
• Participate in key account development and customer acquisition.
• Define value-based arguments and competitive differentiation.
• Collaborate with sales on customer-specific strategies and solution design.
• Promote Sysmex products and services and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Market Intelligence & Internal Collaboration

• Collect competitive and customer insights and report them to sales and marketing.
• Identify user needs, habits, and optimization opportunities.
• Organize and participate in local scientific and customer events.
• Work closely with Service, Marketing, Business Sector Managers, and other specialists.

Quality, Compliance & Sustainability

• Act in accordance with quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with applicable ISO standards.

Required Profile

Education

• University degree in Biosciences, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Strong IT skills (MS Office, databases, email systems).
• Fluent English; local language proficiency required (Spanish or Portuguese).

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in laboratory diagnostics (IVD).
• Hands-on experience in urinalysis and/or hematology laboratory procedures.
• Experience in specialized laboratories.
• Proven experience delivering technical or scientific training.
