About The Role
My client are looking for aa highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure automation, security best practices, and distributed systems. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient systems that power our mission-critical applications.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and Kafka, and thrives in environments where security, performance, and reliability are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure
- Define and enforce DevOps and security best practices across CI/CD, infrastructure, and monitoring
- Manage and optimize Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and Kafka clusters in production environments
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment pipelines and production readiness
- Implement and manage robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and incident response
- Maintain and troubleshoot networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and SSL/TLS
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new tools, and security practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong experience managing Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and Kafka at scale
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance
- Strong background in security best practices for infrastructure and applications
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, and SSL/TLS
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
