With this new addition to our team, we are aiming to strengthen the cohesion of MIISTA's visual and commercial strategy and elevate the brand's product storytelling across all channels (Physically through our 4 stores in key cities and digitally through our e-commerce channel and Social Media).
This role is a key pillar within our "product first" team, ensuring a consistent, high-performing and commercially driven product message within:
- The E-commerce visual merchandising direction
- Styling E-commerce photoshoots collaboratively with the creative team
- Retail visual merchandising planning/product styling
- Commercial merchandising offer
- Press category commercial styling strategy
- Product go-to-market strategy, commercial intelligence and trend insights
You will combine a strong styling sensibility with an analytical mindset and an exceptional commercial product eye—bringing together creative input and commercial results to support ongoing brand growth.
Key Responsibilities
Collection Planning / Commercial Merchandising Offer
- In collaboration with the Creative Director and Design Team participate in the early stages of research and development of the collection themes, and inspirations, building a strong understanding of the season from the beginning, both in materiality and constructions, but also in visual storytelling, to be able to translate it then to other teams in terms of visual merchandising, visual assortments and collection stylings.
- Collaborate with the Buyer/Planner in building strong seasonal assortments of buying.
- Build strong category merchandising guidance for our direct physical retail, direct ecommerce and our wholesale accounts to improve sell-in storytelling and commercial clarity per monthly drops.
- Work closely with the Wholesale team ensuring the seasonal wholesale collection offer aligns with brand direction, seasonal priorities, bestsellers, and market opportunity.
- Support wholesale presentations with category logic, styling suggestions, and trend-backed recommendations.
E-commerce Visual Merchandising & Styling Planning
- Own the visual merchandising and styling planning for online product presentation, ensuring it supports seasonal commercial priorities and brand positioning.
- Provide styling and outfit-building guidance (mood-boarding before ecommerce photoshoots) to increase conversion, basket building, and customer engagement.
- Participate in analysing and improving the direction of the product photography/angles we shoot during the season for better commercial performance of each category.
- Define and continuously improve the product display strategy (category order, key product focus, bestsellers, newness, upsell/cross-sell logic and way of displaying each category both physically and digitally) in collaboration with the E-commerce team and the physical retail team.
- Partner with Creative, Content, and E-commerce teams to ensure cohesive product presentation across product pages, category pages, and seasonal edits.
Retail Merchandising Plan & Product Storytelling
- Support the development of the seasonal retail merchandising plan aligned with product strategy, key stories, price architecture, and customer mission.
- Contribute to the definition of product "hero moments" and seasonal storytelling to optimise customer flow and commercial performance.
- Collaborate with retail teams to ensure strong brand consistency and high-impact merchandising execution.
Press Category Commercial Strategy
- Act as a strategic partner to Press/PR by identifying the most relevant seasonal and monthly commercial product focus for editorial and press opportunities.
- Support the alignment of press placements with product growth strategy, seasonal hero pieces, and category priorities.
- Create clear category recommendations for press pull lists, ensuring a balance of brand elevation and commercial impact.
Market Intelligence & Trend Forecasting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, emerging aesthetics, and consumer behaviour across key territories.
- Translate macro and micro trends into actionable insights for product direction, merchandising priorities, and storytelling strategy.
- Develop seasonal trend reports and commercial insights to support buying, product planning, and content decisions.
Commercial Product Eye & Strategic Support
- In collaboration with the Buyer/Planner, identify performance opportunities by analysing product behaviour, category growth, and customer response.
- Partner with Product, Buying, and Planning teams to ensure product stories are structured for sell-through success.
- Maintain strong alignment across teams to ensure seasonal strategy is executed consistently across all channels.
About You
- An excellent team player who can both inspire and work collaboratively with excellent communication skills, to influence teams and create alignment.
- Proven experience in visual merchandising, styling, and trend forecasting within fashion (multi-category is a plus).
- Strong commercial product instinct: you understand what drives conversion, sell-through, category growth, and customer desire.
- Excellent brand storytelling ability with a clear eye for cohesion, styling logic, and category building.
- Highly organised and able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset: comfortable interpreting product performance and market insights into action.
Tools & Languages
- Strong knowledge of visual merchandising tools (Canva, Pazo, MockShop, InDesign….) and product presentation best practices across e-commerce and retail.
- Experience using e-commerce platforms/analytics tools is a plus.
- Fluent English required; Spanish is a strong plus.
Why Join MIISTA
- Join a high-growth international brand with strong creative direction and ambitious commercial expansion, aiming to do things differently in the fashion industry both creatively and in our distinctive supply chain and crafting direction.
- High-impact role with ownership across key commercial and storytelling channels.
- Collaborative and inclusive culture with space to contribute strategically and creatively.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
Our Position: The Opposite Thing
Designed in London — Made in Spain — EU Sourced and Produced
Miista upends the exclusionary practices of the fashion industry to show how we're actually living now. Over the last ten years, we are proud to have built a brand that, through craft, our community, the risks we've taken and a sometimes bizarre willingness to laugh at ourselves, has made an elegant commitment to the alternative. A dedication to the opposite thing.
What does that mean? That we're happy to sacrifice profit and to subvert problematic fashion trends for women to create a product that has personality in addition to aesthetic value. A product that knows women don't really shop using the search words 'pretty' now. If we were your friend, Miista would be the odd one at school who grew up and got an attitude and a sense of confidence. You know when it's a Miista.
