We're hiring for a financial services provider with international clients and operations based in Riga. The team is growing, and they're looking for an experienced, hands-on
Head Accountant

to own and lead the entire financial workflow.

This is a role where you will be fully responsible for ensuring structural integrity, timely compliance, and accurate reporting across all international operations.You'll be working closely with the CEO in a professional and friendly environment that values precision and initiative.

What You'll Do

The Head Accountant will own the full financial and controlling cycle for the company and its entities.

  • Financial Control & Budgeting: drive the Financial Controlling function, including leading the Budgeting process and monitoring performance.
  • Full-Cycle Accounting: manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring timely and compliant record-keeping across all operations.
  • Annual Reporting: be responsible for preparing and consolidating Annual Financial Statements for the main entity plus seven subsidiaries.
  • Audit & Compliance: participate in all internal/external Audit processes and expertly manage off-balance sheet reporting.
  • Preparation compliance assessment reports for Latvian bank
  • Management: leading the team of 2 members, ensuring the company growth.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead our finance function.

  • Minimum

7+

years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
- Expertise in preparing and consolidating Annual Financial Statements for multiple entities and managing Off-Balance Sheet reporting.
- Strong background in participating and coordinating the Audit process.
- Strong Latvian language skills; ability to work with English documentation.
- Expert proficiency in accounting software (1C, Horizon) and ERP systems, advanced Excel.
- Bonus: previous experience in fintech or working in a fast-paced environment.
