Responsibilities:

Functional engineers (Experience in Diesel or Range extender for ICE/xHEV/EV applications):

• Drive and ensure the development of their system functions and technical convergence, in collaboration with project teams, SW architects, SW developers, and validation team.
• Ensure that your system requirements are traceable to high-level requirements and validation plans.
• Design and validation of the system architecture within the internal client process.
• Translate the system requirements (official rules, OBD, safety, functional requirements, performance, maintenance, etc.) in SW functional requirements and functional specifications for the components (sensors and actuators of the engine management system).
• Development of the SCDR (System Control Design Review) file to discuss the adaptability of your requirements with the current software with SW Architect and all interlocutors involved.
• Design of the generic validation plans for his/her functions.
• Management of the SW function development in the upstream phase of the projects and assurance of the technical convergencies for his functions
• Drive and ensure the development of their system functions and technical convergence, in collaboration with project teams, SW architects, SW developers, and validation team.

Safety engineers:

• Identification and validation of the downgraded modes
• HARA and ElCps (Risk assessment), FTA (Failure hierarchy assessment), FMEA (Impacts of failures modes assessment)
• Development of dysfunctional tests.
• Elaboration of FSC/TSC (Functional and technical concepts and requirements) .
• Diagnostics synthesis.

What we value:

• Prior experience in the automotive industry, systems engineering, or powertrain R&D are valuable
• Previous experience with diesel in Calibration, System engineering or Model based design related to combustion, air system or post-treatment .
• Previous experience with Range extender applications in Calibration, System engineering or Model based design related to combustion, air system, post-treatment or hybrid management .
• Understanding of Powertrain Standards, diagnostics tools and functional safety
• Knowledge in Matlab/Simulink environment
• A proficient level of English is required to comprehend input documents and deliver outputs with a high standard of written quality. Proficiency in French is also considered an asset
• Advanced communication and management skills
• Knowledge of processes and tools: DOORS, MagicDraw, DDT2000, Tradconfig, BOM-CY
