At Ayvens we have an opening for an experienced Senior Data Engineer for Risk & Compliance IT.

What are you going to do?

As our new Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality data solutions that support Risk & Compliance processes. You'll oversee project timelines, manage team capacity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. Your role combines technical leadership with strategic alignment, ensuring data platforms meet security, scalability, and regulatory standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of data projects on time and within budget.

• Monitor and manage team capacity for optimal resource allocation.

• Provide technical leadership and enforce best practices in coding and architecture.

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.

• Work closely with Risk & Compliance teams to align solutions with business needs.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executive management.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, security, and compliance.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills and the ability to build relationships across multiple teams and geographies. Aside from being a seasoned data engineer, you have the interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.

You will have relevant experience in a similar role, preferably holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and:

• 5-8 years of experience in data platforms and business intelligence, especially in cloud ecosystems.

• Proven track record of leading data teams and delivering complex projects.

• Deep knowledge of Risk & Compliance processes and regulations.

• Expertise in ELT flows using PySpark (Databricks), Scala, SQL, and Python.

• Experience with DevOps CI/CD and GIT.

• Familiarity with Azure environments (Databricks, ADF, ADLS) is a plus.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
