We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our Automation Business Line in Spain. Madrid is the primary location, however we are considering other locations in the country. Your responsibilities
As a Sales Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving our business forward by:
- Supporting Sales and Service Managers in developing strong customer relationships through visits, meetings, and tailored proposals.
- Promoting Valmet's cutting-edge automation solutions by identifying customer needs and collaborating with technical experts.
- Managing the full sales cycle—from opportunity identification to closing deals—ensuring competitive and value-driven offers.
- Meeting sales targets and preparing accurate sales forecasts.
- Enhancing customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality and identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Delivering impactful product presentations and ROI-based solution proposals.
- Participating in industry events to showcase Valmet's innovation and thought leadership.
Who is the candidate we are looking for
We're looking for someone who is both technically skilled and commercially savvy:
- A degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, or Controls).
- 3–5 years of experience in sales or technical roles within continuous process industries (pulp & paper, oil & gas, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of automation systems—this is a must
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive, resilient mindset and a customer-first attitude.
- Fluency in Spanish and advanced proficiency in English.
