Demand Planner Specialist

The team you will be a part of

You will be part of the Supply Chain Planning team, working closely with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, Production, and Logistics. The team is focused on improving forecast accuracy, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting data-driven decisions that enable efficient operations and product availability.

This role in summary

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring reliable product availability. The role supports cross-functional alignment between Sales, Marketing, and Operations to enable effective planning and business performance.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Develop and update customer demand forecasts using statistical models and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Create demand plans using forecasting tools (e.g., SAP APO or similar planning systems).
  • Balance inventory levels with service-level targets and operational cost requirements.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, report deviations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Incorporate new product launches, promotions, and market trends into demand planning.
  • Analyze demand patterns, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality and maintain planning parameters within the ERP system.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP and planning tools (e.g., SAP).
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • English and Spanish minimum B2 - C1 level

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Experience with BI and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Previous experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management.
  • Familiarity with SAP APO or other advanced forecasting systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse systems and quickly adapt to new technologies.
