Your mission:

As a PLC & SCADA Engineer, you will play a key role in the automation and monitoring of large-scale photovoltaic power plants across the Iberoamerican market. You'll develop and implement intelligent control systems and work at the intersection of software, hardware, and renewable energy.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain PLC programs using Structured Text (ST), primarily on the Codesys platform (WAGO PLCs)
  • Design and implement HMI interfaces and control logic
  • Configure hardware components including I/O modules and communication interfaces
  • Test and debug PLC programs and automation systems
  • Perform remote and on-site commissioning of monitoring and control systems for utility-scale PV plants, primarily in the Iberian region
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation solutions
  • Create and maintain documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Your profile:
  • Degree in Engineering or a technical background related to industrial or energy automation
  • Proven experience in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA development (WAGO experience is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of Structured Text (ST)
  • Familiarity with industrial protocols (e.g. Modbus, IEC101/102/104)
  • Experience with RTUs, plant automation, power control, and SCADA functionalities
  • Knowledge of VBA scripting
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnetting, routing/switching)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and firewall configuration (e.g. FortiGate, Palo Alto)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
