Booking Agent – Electronic Music

About the role

Atypical Society is looking for a
Booking Agent
to support and grow the agency's booking department. We are seeking a
motivated, proactive and highly organised professional
with a strong passion and deep understanding of the electronic music scene.

This role can be performed
remotely
, with a preference for candidates based in
Madrid
. Availability to travel and work outside regular office hours is required, as the role demands flexibility aligned with the touring and events calendar.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Booking & Artist Development

  • Identify and secure booking opportunities for artists on the roster (clubs, festivals, showcases, brand events).
  • Proactively pitch artists to promoters and key buyers, tailoring proposals to different markets.
  • Prepare, send and negotiate booking offers with promoters, artists and management.
  • Strategically plan tours and routing to optimise schedules, fees and travel efficiency.
  • Track and manage available, pending and blocked dates across all artists' calendars.
  • Finalise bookings and ensure all terms are clearly agreed and confirmed.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with promoters, festivals, venues, artists and managers.
  • Act as a key point of contact throughout the booking process, ensuring smooth communication.
  • Collect and analyse feedback from promoters and artists post-show to improve future bookings.
  • Attend key shows, festivals and industry events to strengthen relationships and scout opportunities.

Administration & Coordination

  • Prepare and send booking confirmations and deal memos, ensuring accuracy across all systems.
  • Coordinate internally with management, logistics, contracts and finance teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure all bookings, terms and updates are properly reflected in internal databases and systems.
  • Monitor incoming requests and correspondence, maintaining an organised and up-to-date workflow.
  • Organise and participate in booking meetings and artist check-ins, setting agendas and following up on action points.

Strategic & Market Awareness

  • Stay up to date with international electronic music trends, emerging markets and key industry players.
  • Support long-term career strategies for artists, aligning bookings with artistic growth and positioning.
  • Identify new opportunities for expansion into new territories and circuits.

Qualifications & Profile

  • Minimum
    1.5 years of experience
    as a Booking Agent within an agency, or in a closely related role (artist management, artist liaison, hospitality, artist direction, etc.).
  • Proven experience working with touring artists in the
    electronic music scene
    .
  • Solid understanding of booking processes, deal structures and industry stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with high stress tolerance.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Fluent Spanish and English
    (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Passion for electronic music and strong knowledge of international artists, promoters and festivals.

Nice to Have (Plus)

  • Existing network of promoters and festivals in Europe or internationally.
  • Experience working with touring schedules, routing and international contracts.
  • Familiarity with booking software, CRMs or internal agency systems.
