Business Intelligence Specialist

What you will do:

• Develop and deliver end-to-end BI solutions using Microsoft BI Stack (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and SQL (Oracle/SQL Server).
• Collaborate with market and credit risk stakeholders to design, develop, and implement best-practice solutions.
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Drive release management standards, including version control and source-controlled deployments, across the Axpo Group.
• Provide 1st and 2nd level support for in-house Power BI tools and reports, ensuring troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Contribute to BI design decisions and collaborate with Analyst Programmers and the Architecture team.
• Maintain system documentation and enforce governance standards.

What you bring & who you are:

• Degree in information science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft BI Stack (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and SQL development (SQL Server/Oracle).
• Proven expertise in release management, CI/CD pipelines, and version control.
• Experience in troubleshooting Power BI report performance and managing Power BI environments.
• Ideally, knowledge of finance, commodities, or energy trading, with a focus on market risk and credit risk.
• Strong communication skills, independence, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Desirable: Azure platform experience, API usage (Power BI REST API, Active Directory API), scripting (PowerShell, Python), and exposure to modern data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
