The team:

Alvarez & Marsal's Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) business is rapidly growing its high-performance team. We are currently looking for an Intern to join our team based in Madrid, although serving the practice across the whole Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region.

You will have the opportunity to work throughout the value creation lifecycle of leading global companies, from corporate strategy design to growth strategy, expansion to new products or markets, M&A processes, business transformation and value recognition.

A&M CTS have a unique delivery model that enables junior members of the team to gain extensive exposure to Managing Directors and Senior Directors across international projects, thus empowering individuals to fast track their careers and development. As an Intern, you will be working closely with the rest of the team across EMEA and gain 'on-the-job' learning and development, leveraging on their substantial experience.

How you will contribute:

• Being an active part of the teams supporting companies and institutions in the corporate strategy design and value creation;
• Assisting on producing financial modelling and analysis including cash flow models and projections;
• Assisting on synthesising information after research and analysis into high quality client reports and recommendations;
• Help to produce integrated models with balance sheet, P&L and cash flow, identifying key trends and red flags;
• Supporting Managing Directors and other senior members of the team with client pitch production;
• Find key information on companies reporting, know what to look for to understand company business performance and key information.

Qualifications:

• Studying at a leading University in Business Administration, Economics and / or Engineering, or equivalent;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to prioritise – especially in highly pressured situations;
• Some Excel modelling skills;
• Fluent business level English and Spanish is essential. Additional European language skills including French, German or Portuguese are highly desirable;
• Strong interest in a career within Strategy Consulting.
