Job title - Manager, Industrial Engineering & IOT Chapter Lead

At dsm-firmenich our Digital Infrastructure Foundation team are seeking an experienced Chapter Lead for a new Industrial Engineering Chapter to bridge our IT and OT ecosystems. You will champion and be an advocate for our digital infrastructure standards while being deeply embedded with our manufacturing and S&R teams, ensuring technical solutions meet both enterprise requirements and operational realities.

Your key responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between Digital Infrastructure teams and Manufacturing/S&R operations
• Advocate for and implement IT standards in OT environments while respecting operational constraints
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with manufacturing and S&R stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership for industrial engineering projects spanning IT/OT domains
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards
• Mentor and Develop chapter members on IT/OT integration best practices
• This role includes managing a team of four direct reports across multiple locations

You bring

• 5+ years in industrial/manufacturing engineering with strong IT/OT integration experience
• Deep understanding of both IT systems (networks, security, cloud) and OT technologies (SCADA, MES, PLCs, industrial IoT)
• Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence without direct authority
• Track record of successfully implementing IT standards in operational environments
• Strong communication skills - able to speak both "IT language" and "OT language"
• Experience leading technical teams or chapters
• Demonstrated people-management experience, including leading and developing direct reports in a technical environment
