We build real-time voice and AI systems deployed across secure Azure infrastructure. We're looking for a mid-level backend engineer to join us in Barcelona and help us scale our platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to ship, learn, and grow.

You'll be part of a small, senior team. You won't be buried in meetings. You'll write code, ship features, and help solve real problems. We move fast, stay pragmatic, and expect you to own your work.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain FastAPI services (Python
  • Write Pydantic models, SQLAlchemy schemas, and Alembic migrations.
  • Build and document internal APIs.
  • Connect services to Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault.
  • Contribute to infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep.
  • Help improve CI/CD (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
  • Debug real production issues. Monitor and improve what you ship.
  • Write clean, testable code and review others'.

What We're Looking For

Absolutely non-negotiable:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience writing Python. Not scripts. Not coursework. Real-world production systems.

Must-haves:

  • Solid understanding of web APIs, SQL, and ORMs.
  • Experience with FastAPI (or Flask/Django) and SQLAlchemy.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Git.
  • Eager to learn Azure and infrastructure tools.
  • Based in Madrid/Barcelona or willing to relocate. (Office-first, hybrid possible.)

Bonus if you:

  • Have used Azure services (SQL, Storage, Key Vault, Cosmos).
  • Know Terraform or Bicep.
  • Have worked with async Python or background workers.
  • Understand how to monitor and debug cloud apps.
  • Have exposure to compliance-heavy environments (ISO 27001, SOC2).
