Position Summary
We are seeking someone with Workday Core HCM experience and deep, hands-on expertise in Absence and Time Tracking, who will own Absence globally and drive strategic Time Tracking projects across key European countries (e.g., Germany, France, Switzerland, UK) while maintaining and optimizing the existing Netherlands configurations.
You will be part of Agilent's Global HR Digital Team within HR Shared Services, supporting our Workday platform across 30+ countries. You will collaborate with our HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, IT teams and Payroll teams, to design, configure, and enhance Workday modules driving efficiency, ensuring data integrity, and elevating the employee experience.
We are looking for someone passionate about the Time & Absence area, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver a seamless experience for employees and managers worldwide.
Location: Barcelona (hybrid) or remote within Spain.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Absence & Time Tracking workstream (Workday configuration and testing) for upcoming European countries in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including HR Services and Payroll teams, to ensure successful decisions and deployment.
- Design, configure, test, and administer Workday Time Tracking and Absence, with supporting contributions to Core HCM or other areas as needed.
- Maintain/optimize the existing Netherlands configurations for Time & Absence.
- Collaborate with relevant HR Services Payroll and HRBPs to validate Workday design against EU working-time requirements; support Works Council engagement and change management where needed.
- Partner with HR functional owners to analyze requirements, propose improvements, and implement solutions with a strong focus on enhancing the employee experience.
- Workday release analysis and testing, identifying new features and streamlining HR processes.
- Manage small to medium projects and collaborate across functions.
- Develop a solid understanding of global HR data and downstream integrations.
- Create and maintain user documentation, process guides, and training materials when needed.
- Extensive experience in Workday Time Tracking and Absence, preferred to have implementation experience for projects in European countries (e.g. Germany, France, Switzerland, UK)
- Solid Workday Core HCM experience, including configuration and expertise in creating and executing test plans and test cases.
- Strong understanding of HR business practices and how they integrate with HCM systems.
- Active in Workday community, ability to collaborate and identify opportunities to fully utilize Workday capabilities.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams in multicultural environments.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and customer-centric design skills.
- Analytical mindset and familiarity with Workday reporting and analytics.
- Ability to manage sensitive data with discretion and ensure data privacy.
- Experience working with European countries and Payroll integrations is a strong plus.
- Experience with AI and Robotics Process Automation (RPA) would also be a plus.
- Workday Security experience preferred.
- Fluent in English.
Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, human resources or a related field.
Experience
5+ years of relevant experience, including experience in geographically distributed teams.
Full-cycle Time & Absence implementation projects in Europe countries are a big plus

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
