Madrid, Madrid, España Digital Realty Global A tiempo completo
Description

The Opportunity: Power the Digital Future in Madrid

At Digital Realty, we aren't just a data center provider; we are the foundation of the global digital economy. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on Lead Technician to become the technical anchor for our operations.

This isn't just a maintenance role. It's a leadership position where you will ensure the relentless reliability and innovative improvement of the critical infrastructure that powers our clients' success. If you're a technical expert who thrives on responsibility and wants to leave your mark on a global platform, this is your chance.

Your Mission: Ensure 100% Uptime. Drive Innovation. Lead with Excellence.

You will be the central point for all technical operations within the data center, working in lockstep with our Site Manager and external partners. Your mission is to guarantee that our electrical, cooling, and ventilation systems operate flawlessly, providing a secure and resilient environment for our clients' most vital data.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Be the Guardian of Infrastructure: Oversee the entire ecosystem of data center operations—from electrical (HV/LV) and mechanical cooling to fire safety systems.
  • Lead Critical Initiatives: Spearhead maintenance projects, infrastructure improvements, and the resolution of major technical incidents, with support from global experts when needed.
  • Master the Plan: Develop and own the annual maintenance schedule, ensuring all preventive and corrective actions are meticulously planned and executed.
  • Elevate Our Standards: Continuously improve our methods and procedures (MOPs) and ensure the highest quality of service from our suppliers and service providers.
  • Be the Voice of Technical Trust: Serve as the key technical contact for our clients, communicating proactively about maintenance, schedules, and any necessary corrective actions.

You're the Perfect Fit If You Have:

  • Proven experience in facility or data center management, with deep technical expertise in:
    • Electrical systems (HV/LV)
    • Cooling and ventilation systems
    • Fire safety systems
  • A knack for managing and building strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and partners.
  • Proficiency with Excell, Office and CRM tools.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • A collaborative, team-player mindset combined with impeccable organizational and methodological skills.
  • The ability to anticipate issues before they happen and a relentless drive for continuous improvement.
