YOUR MISSION
As part of the Governance, Risk & Compliance team, you will act as a
second line of defense operational risk partner
, working closely with business, operations, product, tech, and regional teams. Your mission is to help Glovo
anticipate, manage, and respond to operational and non-financial risks
, ensuring risks are understood, mitigated, and escalated appropriately as the company scales. This is a
hands-on role
focused on execution, business partnering, and pragmatic risk management, with exposure to group-level risk governance and leadership forums.

THE JOURNEY

• Act as a risk business partner for key functions and markets, supporting them in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational and non-financial risks.
• Support the end-to-end risk cycle, from risk identification to mitigation tracking and follow-up, with a strong focus on practical controls and execution.
• Work with business and tech teams to design, review, and improve controls, processes, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Support the monitoring of key operational risks, incidents, and emerging issues, helping ensure timely escalation and response.
• Contribute to the consolidation of regional and functional risk inputs into a clear group-level view.
• Prepare concise risk updates and materials for internal stakeholders, including senior management and risk or audit forums.
• Support interactions with external auditors and regulators on operational risk and control topics, as needed.
• Continuously improve how risk is managed across the organization, balancing structure with speed in a scale-up environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

• 5+ years of experience in operational risk, internal control, internal audit, or risk assurance roles, ideally in multi-entity or multi-country environments.
• Hands-on experience working as or alongside a second line of defense, partnering with first-line teams.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, process risks, and control effectiveness (preventive and detective controls).
• Experience dealing with incidents, audit findings, remediation actions, or control gaps, and following them through to resolution.
• Exposure to risk or control frameworks (e.g. COSO, ISO 31000, SOX, internal control frameworks), with a practical rather than purely theoretical approach.
• Comfort working with data, metrics, and reporting to support risk prioritization and decision-making.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain risk topics in clear, business-oriented language to non-risk stakeholders.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders, while remaining pragmatic and collaborative.
