Your role
To successfully lead our digital transformation, Symrise requires a dedicated Communication and Engagement Manager capable of translating strategy into clear, compelling narratives that inspire alignment and drive action. Without this critical role, the organization risks fragmented communication, low employee buy-in, and slower adoption of key digital initiatives.
This position ensures that our digital vision is understood, embraced, and actively supported across the business.
The Communication and Engagement Manager is responsible for shaping, managing, and delivering communication strategies within the oneDigital department. This role plays a central part in driving employee engagement, promoting digital initiatives, and ensuring consistent, impactful messaging across all internal and external communication channels.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and exceptional communicator with a strong interest in technology, digital transformation, and change management. They excel at creating clarity, fostering collaboration, and building enthusiasm around digital programs.
About you
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication and engagement strategy for the oneDigital department.
- Translate complex digital initiatives into clear, compelling, and accessible narratives for diverse audiences.
- Lead internal communication efforts, including newsletters, intranet updates, storytelling content, leadership messages, and campaign planning.
- Support external communications, ensuring alignment with the company's brand and digital transformation goals.
- Partner closely with Digital Program Managers, IT, and business stakeholders to build communication plans for major programs and initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement through events, workshops, awareness campaigns, and ongoing two-way communication channels.
- Ensure communication consistency across all platforms and formats (email, intranet, presentations, videos, social channels, etc.).
- Monitor communication effectiveness through feedback, analytics, and employee insights; recommend improvements as needed.
- Support change management activities, helping employees understand the "why," "what," and "how" of digital transformation.
- Manage communication calendars, content pipelines, and key milestones to ensure timely delivery.
