Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled
AI Software Engineer
to unlock the potential of GenAI across the group. The ideal candidate will utilise their technical knowledge to build exceptional AI-driven products and experiences.

This role is ideal for innovative developers eager to design, implement and integrate scalable AI solutions, focusing on APIs, RAG architectures, and agentic frameworks. It's an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our AI for SMBs, to work in an agile environment, with the latest technologies including AI based coding assistants and bring your ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable AI powered software solutions, focusing on APIs, RAG architectures, and agentic frameworks
• Implement agentic AI systems using tools such as MCP servers and APIs
• Integrate AI software solutions into existing environments and workflows, ensuring seamless operation and performance optimization
• Test and deploy software solutions that meet business needs
• P articipate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver innovative AI solutions.

Ideal Profile:

• 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, ideally in full stack/backend product-focused software engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python programming (leveraging frameworks like FastAPI, Flask), microservices architecture and event-driven architecture(eg. KafKa, SSE, WebSocket)
• Expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and working daily with models like GPT, Claude, Gemini
• Hands-on experience with vector databases (e.g., OpenSearch, FAISS) for efficient similarity search and semantic search & retrieval of text embeddings
• Practical experience deploying and scaling RAG systems and AI agents in a production environment.
• Skilled in implementing conversational AI systems leveraging APIs like OpenAI Chat Completion and Assistant endpoints
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to enhance model responses by integrating external knowledge bases during inference (would be a great plus)
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
