Digitize the German midmarket with us as a Senior Generative AI Engineer R&D (m/f/d)

LAY FOUNDATIONS. ENSURE EFFICIENCY.

YOUR TASKS:

• LLMs & Generative AI:

• Independent development and implementation of Large Language Models (e.g. GPT), with a strong focus on open-source solutions

• Realization of a secure and scalable AI-as-a-Service platform for the European market

• Fine-tuning and adaptation of pre-trained models for complex enterprise-specific use cases

• Design and optimization of efficient prompts and custom generative AI models for business applications
• Co-development of managed services focusing on security, archiving, and database integration
• Setup and continuous improvement of scalable pipelines for training, evaluation, and deployment
• Monitoring and enhancement of existing AI solutions to ensure long-term performance and stability

• Close collaboration with stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams to deliver tailored AI solutions

• Research & Development:

• Development of innovative solutions based on use cases that create competitive advantages

• Implementation of AI agents and generative models across diverse application areas
• Use and advancement of modern ML/DL frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
• Creative solution design for industry-specific challenges

• Execution of in-depth case studies and applied research for scalable generative AI integration

• Strategic Development:

• Establishment and leadership of the AI Research division within one year

• Definition of long-term research and innovation strategy in Generative AI
• Identification of new business opportunities through strategic AI initiatives
• Building a network of leading experts and researchers to foster knowledge and technology transfer

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Deep expertise in ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and tools (Hugging Face)
• Proven experience in fine-tuning and deploying generative models (e.g. GPT) for industrial use
• Excellent Python programming skills and experience with API development and integration
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to translate business challenges into technical solutions
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing enterprise-level projects
  
  Completed Master's degree or PhD in IT, Mathematics, Physics or related fields (PhD possible during employment)
• Strong research capabilities and innovation mindset in Generative AI and LLMs
• Willingness to take ownership of building and strategically developing an AI research unit
